Salaam's second CD, Raqsat Salaam (Dance of Peace), was recorded in 1998. This album includes melodies from Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, Israel and the Arabian Peninsula, and features two dance sets. Sylvain Carton's spirited soprano saxophone really livens up tracks like Fun Der Khuppe, while Dena El Saffar and Megan Weeder's strings blend harmoniously into the group's lush arrangements of Mohammed Abdel Wahab's Aziza and Zeina.

Recorded and mastered by Eric Kabisch at Primary Sound Studios, Bloomington, IN. Raqsat Salaam is a fun and danceable CD that has become popular among belly dancers!
